Deep links are a type of hyperlink link that sends users directly to a particular URL of a website or a store, for example, a product page (e.g. “http://example.com/path/page”), not the home page.
Then, why use the deep links on our affiliate site?
The answer is very simple.
Deep link saves users time and sends them to the place where they want to go. This link can bring higher conversion than linking the home page.
If we insert our affiliate ID, it turns into a deep affiliate link. Then the affiliate networks can track this sale and give us commissions.
Every affiliate network or platform has its tool or method to make deep affiliate links. In this tutorial, I will teach you how to make your deep link on ShareASale & Impact & CJ.com.
How to Create Deep Affiliate Links in Affiliate Networks
ShareASale Deep Link Generator
login to your ShareASale affiliate account. In the dashboard, find the “Merchants” button in the top navigation bar and click “Merchant Status“, as shown in the image below:

All your approved merchants are on this page, find the merchant you want to make a deep link. Next, I take the “Namecheap” merchant as an example, as shown in the figure below:
Click the “Get Links” button on the right to enter the affiliate program page of the merchant, then click “Create Custom link” to enter the deep link creation page, and paste the URL of a specific page of the merchant here.
For example, turn the URL of Namecheap’s promotion page into your affiliate deep link:

Put this URL into the box and click the “create custom link” button below, as shown in the image below:
The tool will automatically generate your affiliate link:
Also, you have two options:
- Turn this link into a short link: click “get short link”
- add your tracking code
For example, I add 123 as the tracking code of this link, click the “update link” below, as shown in the picture below:

These 3 links all point to the same page: the first is the original link, and the last two are your affiliate links.

In your affiliate account page, click the link icon on the left, and the deep link tool pops up from the left, as shown below:
All your affiliate programs or merchants are listed in the top bar. Now let’s take shopify.com as an example, choose Shopify from the top bar.
If you want your audiences to visit the pages of Shopify store examples through your deep affiliate link, just put the target URL in the second bar.
